My Thoughts On DC Avanti

If you can’t decide whether to buy a Ford Mustang or Ferrari 458 Italia then the front-end of the DC Avanti may cover that as there seems to be a distinct flavor of both vehicles in the nose and lights. Around the back, you get a slice of Bugatti and Lambo with perhaps a sprinkle of Lotus. Personally, I think it works but I do prefer my classic sports cars to be honest.

Don’t let the design fool you; the DC Avanti hasn’t been cobbled together with bits from other cars just to get the first Indian sports car out there.

The first version of the Avanti will be powered by Ford’s revolutionary EcoBoost engine technology. The unit is a 2.0 litre DOHC four-cylinder featuring Direct Injection, four valves per cylinder with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and turbocharging. Power output has been rated at 243PS with 366Nm of torque. So more hot hatch than a supercar but a faster and more powerful version packing a 400+hp Honda V6 engine is expected to go into production later on.
