Meizu 18 Overview:
Meizu unveiled its 18 series in China on March 3, 2021. The Meizu 18
and 18 Pro both equipped with Snapdragon 888 chipsets with 5G, offer
up to 12GB of RAM and they are both on sale in China starting March 3,
2021.
The Meizu 18 Pro is the larger phone with a 6.7-inch 3200x1440px
Samsung E4 AMOLED that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz
touch sampling rate. The front glass is curved on all four sides - 50-degrees on the
left and right and 5-degrees on the top and bottom. Meizu also has
Qualcomm's latest 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner beneath the
display.
The Meizu 18 Pro is provided with a Snapdragon 888 5nm chipset with
an X60 5G modem built-in. There are either 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM
paired with the SoC, while the storage is 128GB or 256GB of UFS
3.1.
Design & Display
The company has changed the camera to the horizontal alignment as
compared to its competitors. This design brought a new premium look to
this new smartphone. Also, the phone arrives in an 8-curved micro-arc
design. This implies that Meizu 18 Pro has a curved display and curved
frames.
The rear side of the phone has been made with anti-glare glass
material. Meizu 18 Pro emphasizes mEngine 4.0 haptic engine for an
intensive gaming experience. as we talk about the display, it has a
6.7-inches 2K+ Super AMOLED screen. Meizu has accepted Samsung’s E4
panel, and it holds a 120Hz dynamic refresh rate.
It is also loaded with SGS low blue light emission which is a
hardware-based solution for reducing harmful blue light release.
Meizu announces the 18 Pro’s screen covers 100% DCI-P3 color space
and is HDR10+ certified as well. the company is sticking with
old-gen Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection instead of Victus. This
screen is also equipped with Qualcomm’s second-gen ultrasonic
in-display fingerprint sensor.
Performance
It is powered by the freshest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. It
also has 8 or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM on the option. It gives the choice
ranges for storage selection between 128 and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal
storage. But it doesn't have any external memory card support.
Cameras
This phone seems to be a monster in the camera field as well.
Highlighting a quad-camera setup, it has a 50MP Samsung GN1 primary
sensor. The other camera includes a 32MP Sony IMX616 ultra
wide-angle/macro lens, an 8MP telephoto lens, and a Samsung ToF 3D
sensor. Meizu 18 Pro’s ultra-wide camera has a 130-degree Field Of
View (FOV) which can catch macro shots from a 2 cm distance.
Likewise, the telephoto lens supports 3x optical, 5x hybrid, and
30x digital zoom. On the front side, it has a 44MP Samsung GH1
camera and supports specialties like AI Super Clear Portrait, 4K
video recording, etc.

Moving to the battery section, Meizu 18 Pro Receives its power from
a satisfactory 4500mAh battery cell. This phone can be charged with
the 40W wired and wireless option. Meizu declares that it takes just
50 minutes to fully charge from 0 to 100% through the 40W wired
charging method.
