After a week of teasing, Poco has finally launched its latest smartphone –
the Poco M3. As the name suggests, it is the successor to the Poco M2 which
was recently launched in Nepal. With the launch of the M3, Poco will now
operate independently even outside of India. Let’s check out the specs,
features, expected price, and availability of Poco M3 in Nepal.
Poco M3 smartphone was launched on 24th November 2020. The phone comes with
a 6.53-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080x2340 pixels at a
pixel density of 395 pixels per inch (ppi) and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.
Poco M3 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor. It
comes with 4GB of RAM. The Poco M3 runs Android 10 and is powered by a
6000mAh non-removable battery. The Poco M3 supports proprietary fast
charging.
Display and Design
Poco M3 sports a 6.53-inch Dot Display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top
for protection. It’s an FHD+ panel with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. According
to the company, the display covers 70% of the NTSC color gamut and has a
contrast ratio of 1500:1. Moreover, it has TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light
certification.
The Poco M3 comes with the 3 different colors Blue,Yellow,Black and It has
Side-mounted fingerprint sensor unlike the other smartphones out there which
has on the back. The weight the Poco M3 is less than 200g which feels robust
yet light to hold in your hand, and the ergonomic design makes for a
comfortable and relaxed feel.
Performance
The 11nm processor provides more power than you expect. Qualcomm®
Snapdragon™ 662 features an octa-core high-performance processor with a
maximum clock speed of 2.0GHz and the third generation AI Engine provides
greatly improved AI computing performance.
The LPDDR4X memory supports having multiple apps and games running
simultaneously while the UFS 2.2 storage offers faster read speed and better
performance, effectively reducing the time it takes to open apps.
Cameras
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Poco M3 on the rear packs a
48-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.79 aperture and a pixel size of
0.8-micron; a second 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture and a pixel
size of 1.75-micron and a third 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture
and a pixel size of 1.75-micron. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It
sports a 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies, with an f/2.05
aperture and a pixel size of 1.12-micron.
The 48MP main camera takes great still clearpictures even after
zooming in. It also comes with the in built Time-lapse feature
whihc is the way to compress time, combine stillness and movement to
create movie-like content, and receive countless of likes on social
media. The rear camera is also capable of recording 1080p footages at
30fps and slow-motion videos at 120fps.

It has massive 6000mAh battery power yet surprisingly lightweight phone. The
Poco says battery can be charged up to 1,000 times, which means that the
phone's life span exceeds 2.5 years without any significant degradation of
the battery. At room temperature, the battery life span is 25% longer than
other smartphones.
It is also designed to be safe to use in high temperature environments where
the battery life span beats other smartphones by 20%. The phone also
supports 18W fast charging which is very when it comes to the budget phones.

Poco M3 Price in Nepal and Availability
Poco M3 will went on sale from November 27 in the United States, The
announced price was $149 and $169 for the 4/64GB and 4/128GB variant,
respectively. However, the promotional price lists them at $20 off each
model. You can expect the price of Poco M3 in Nepal to start at around NPR
18,500 & NPR 20,500 Depending on the veriants when it launches later
on.
